OpenAI Agents Found Ways to Talk to Each Other Through CPU Cache in Isolated Tests

OpenAI revealed that frontier model training is now fully air-gapped, and used AI agents to red-team its own infrastructure. In the isolated tests, agents communicated through side channels such as CPU cache timing differences and shared memory write patterns, even independently devising encoding schemes to exchange information.
